Volkswagen headaches

Headache after headache, the price I pay for fixing up my Volkswagen Golf . So I ended up spending hours...

Working on my Volkswagen Golf. The break lights arent working so I spent a few hours trying to take the fiberglass out of my trunk so I can change out the bulbs. After a few hours of  that I realize it wasnt the bulb I called my buddy Carlos up over at Volkswagen and he said it could be the brake sensor. By the time I got over to the dealership the parts department close. So here I am driving around with no brake lights. To top it off my car is over heating too so im taking it to Renner Motorsport tomorrow morning to get that looked at. All in all, this was all worth it...I love my VW too much.

1. yea dude iknow hwta you mean just a couple of weeks a go i was taking my 1993 golg gl out for a rip after just frankintsteining o home made intake and runnign some injector cleaner. and as im sitting at a light getting raedy to take off and my i hear this awfull sound from my tranny it was my second gear singcrow i had lost my second gear and i would thenlater find out it was my entire tranny that took a digger. yea dude so needless to say i share the volkswagon heartache and it sucks

3. so its me again the 1993 golf owner again and i just had my car toed to the shop for tranny repairs and my aa it's being pulle away i see pieces of my tranny all over my backyard and i figured taht can't be good. So uh yea i figured that was a funny woot im out gotta go to school.

4. i cry every night because trying to find a turbo for my golf is like pullling teeth. None of the big names make a turbo for a 2.0 litre golf it's always 1.8 t's and VR6's well i would like to find a turbo for a lesser car. it's just not right.I mean everybody makes a woosy supercharger which i might add creates nowhere near as much power as turbo would. and so i wheep!

5. dude VWs are a headache, my timin' belt just broke on me, every yr. its somthing or another. first major thing was the turbo blow, now at 62,000 miles the timin' belt? unheard of i wasn't even doggin' on her.

6. I just bought a 99 passat and the center console is stuck in upright position and the trunk wont open. I thought german cars were supposed to be reliable. I don't regret it but i haven't spent any money on the engine yet. (knock on wood)

7. i have an 01 passat 1.8t and for some reason the epc light check engine light and traction control light will all come on i lose power but if i shut the car off and restart it all the lights go out and everything is fine any suggestions on what could cause this

8. I have an 02 Jetta 1.9 TDI. We are having an issue figuring out how to keep the temperature sensor from blowing back out of the manifold. The piece that goes into it is two parts that fit together---but we cannot figure out how to secure it. A new flange was purchased---and we thought it would have a clip of some kind. Any ideas???
