Bigger is better; which was the case for this year's Bimmerfest. For several years, Bimmerfest has been remembered as the largest BMW gathering in the world.
Over 1000 BMWs poured into Earl Warren Fairgrounds in Santa Barbara, CA last Saturday. This included cars from Northern and Southern California, but also other states and countries as well including Canada and the East Coast.
Nearly every BMW model produced was represented. There was a healthy showing of old school cars from E30 M3s to 2002s. The newer models dominated the event though with hundred of E90s and even a noble showing E92 M3s and 1-Series.
We were excited to have a booth featuring our newest 135i project car lowered on H&R coilovers and sporting 19” DCR forged wheels. It was one of the only modified 1-Series in attendance!
Also in our booth, we brought Aaron-Ross Jimenez' '03 BMW 330i which was featured et 7/07. Since last year, he's painted the car Lamborghini grey and revamped the Apple-themed trunk.
Stay tuned for our full show report in the August '08 issue of eurotuner.
