Surprisingly, the show was well attended with a constant flow of spectators and hundreds of show cars. We expected to find plenty of riced-out Hondas and lifted Chevy’s, but to our delight, there were plenty of impressive Euros and cleanly-modified Japanese imports which included Nissan Skylines, Acura Integras and Nissan 350zs. On the Euro side, TWCompetition stole the show with a display of high quality VWs and BMWs including Robert Wang’s twin-charged Mk4 GTI VR6 and Eric Shih’s revamped M3 supercharged. Eddie Farcon from New Image Motorsports was also in town to display the new paint job on his turbo and widebody BMW E36 M3. We can’t also forget about Northern California resident Joe Ninobla and his unforgettable big turbo New Beetle with Motorsport widebody. Perhaps the most surprising car was Rob Michals’ Audi A4 1.8T which made the trek from Minneapolis, MN. He won Best Audi Mild (congrats Rob!).
Overall, it was decent show for an import show. To see where Hot Import Nights will be next, visit www.hotimportnights.com
