When someone starts a conversation with "I have good news, and I have bad news" you can pretty much assume that the good news is nothing more than a sugar coating for the bad. Well, in this case I really believe the good news outweighs the bad, and even though it may not have felt that way when I had to make a last minute decision Sunday morning, what's done is done and there's no going back now. It's been 5 days since my first blog and I had hoped to be able to update daily, so for now let's focus on the good...
The Good News
It's all good when you're at the Gumball. You could not hope for a better crew of people or a more organized event without even the tiniest feeling that you are bound to a strict schedule or rushed throughout the day.
Saturday morning started bright and early with breakfast and blogging. I last left you with a great big smile on my face as I made my way outside to soak in the atmosphere for the day and week ahead. After a quick jaunt around the parking lot it was time to head towards the Viceroy Pool for some words from Gumball creator Maximilion Cooper.
After the drivers meeting it was time to start our engines and head to our first scheduled stop, the Santa Monica pier. The city of Santa Monica was treated to a car show, open to the public, featuring the Gumball vehicles, drivers, and friends. Here are some photo's of just a few of the cars I had a chance to see before it was time to get this show, literally, on the road...
