Over the past few years we’ve worked closely with Studie AG, a BMW tuning specialist in Japan. The company is run by Yasuaki "Bob" Suzuki, a BMW aficionado and Bob Marley fan.
He has tuning centers in several cities, including Kobe, Sendai and the headquarters is in Yokohama City. However, Studie recently opened a new showroom and workshop facility in Tokyo.
Like the existing stores, the new facility reflects the company’s enthusiasm for all things BMW as well as its humor, represented by items like the giant toad in the window, perhaps.
To mark the new store’s opening, Studie was kind enough to send us some photos before it was invaded by customers, cars and salesmen. Although we intend to print these in a future issue of eurotuner magazine, we want to share these thumbnails with you to get your feedback. Is this, as we suspect, the coolest tuning shop in the world?
If you know of another that trumps Studie Tokyo, please post your entries below, or email us at eurotuner@sorc.com and we’ll post the responses if they can truly compete. We’ll also send a T-shirt to whoever submits the best suggestion.
Although the site is in Japanese, you can visit www.studie.jp to see photos from the other Studei shops and witness the playful, colorful concept that represents one of the finest BMW tuners in the world.
Of particular interest are the incredible project cars Studie builds. Most have been featured in eurotuner magazine, including the rainbow-colored display in front of the showroom seen here. These vehicles are used as “track taxis” at the company’s annual track day and the various events it organizers for owners.
So enjoy these photos and please share with us your favorite tuner shops from around the world.
