For the very first time in the US you can experience the rush of a Formula One driver in the new Formula One experience
You'll be able to slide behind the wheel of one of the most advanced pieces of machinery on the planet: a modern Formula One car. These authentic racecars represent the pinnacle of racing technology.
You'll be equipped with all the coaching and materials needed to successfully complete the event – no prior experience is necessary. The day starts with a school overview of the 720hp Arrows Formula One car. The lead instructors – all former F1 drivers – coach you through a safety briefing and courses in weight transfer, braking and driving trajectories.
By the afternoon, you'll experience high speed laps through varied track configurations. In total, you experience over 30 miles of driving.
The experience ends with the presentation of a Formula One certificate, and a podium picture with an F1 trophy. In-car video footage and photos are also provided.
The event is hosted at the Monticello Motor Club in Monticello, New York. It’s a luxury automotive resort located 90 minutes from Manhattan. The track is 4.1-miles long and includes 22 turns and 12 distinct configurations. With over 1.5 miles of straights, the Monticello Motor Club has some of the fastest track segments in the world. The track was designed by Brian Redman, winner of 77 races in 12 countries, and Bruce Hawkins, an established track architect.
At the heart of the Formula One Experience is the 720hp Formula One Arrows A18. It’s an 1100 lb carbon-chassis racecar equipped with a 3.5-liter V8 engine, carbon brakes and a 220mph top speed.
Capable of a heart-pounding 0-100 mph time in only 5 seconds, the Formula One Experience instructors are on hand to teach the intricacies of driving a real Formula One race car.
The price for this experience is $6995 per driver.
