So I have survived my first week and things are already starting to fall into routine around here. Greg was gone for the week so it was kind of up to Sam and me as to what I did around here. Party! Well, not quite.
I started the week working on my feature article on an E30 M3. I spoke with the owner, gathered some notes, and started writing my first draft. I plan on finishing that up this week. Keep an eye out for that in eurotuner August ’10. In the meantime, you can see some of the news stories I wrote up here: http://www.eurotuner.com/auto_news/index.html
Being the video guy, it wasn’t surprising to find a couple more videos to make as well. I was able to finish those up pretty quickly, including a teaser to an E30 drift car, a 208MPH GTI, and others. You can see the full features in the June ’10 issue and the videos online here: http://www.eurotuner.com/videos/index.html
A couple other things went on while the boss was gone as well. On Tuesday, our Castrol Syntec Top Car Challenge car visited our studio for a quick video shoot with Castrol. We got some shots for our feature coming up in the near future. Sam and I also took a short trip to the shop on Thursday for a suspension install on a project B7 Passat. We took some pictures, video, and step by step install notes for a possible article in the near future. I actually got some true intern work in as well. With some help from Sam, I cleaned off some in the garage for use in a couple other potential projects. There has to be a little grunt work around here or it just wouldn’t be as interesting.
As for plans for this coming week, like I mentioned before, I plan on finishing up my feature article, working on a couple other videos for future issues, and maybe finally looking into alternatives for the hideous chrome shoes that my car still rolls on.
