If you’ve been following the Formula Drift circuit this year, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of a new BMW contender that has brought new life to the motorsport. Micheal Essa and GSR Autosport are campaigning a ’08 335i. The car had technical problems at the first round in Long Beach but bounced back to a 4th place finish at Road Atlanta. In the third round, the car got knocked out in the Top 32 at New Jersey but there are plenty more rounds left in competition.
The car was renamed 350R and the nickname comes from the powerplant under the hood – an E60 M5 S85B50 5.0L V10. In addition, it has a custom Quaife sequential gearbox, quick-change rear-end and a brake system that uses three master cylinders!
We’ll be unveiling the car in the August issue of eurotuner but Nitto Tire, one of the car's main supporters, has released this sweet highlight video of the car at Atlanta. CLICK HERE
