Yes, I know I work for eurotuner magazine and usually talk about cars, but this weekend I will be attending the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Basic Rider Course to get my M1 license.
While I could say that I have ridden bikes in the past, such as a few romps on a Suzuki 350 dual sport, a short stint on the Autobahn aboard a V-Strom 1000 and even a couple tight street runs on a scooter in Japan, when compared to say my boss Greg Emmersone (he rides an R1) or clearly any of the guys at SuperStreet Bike magazine, I am a complete beginner.
That being said, we thought it might be interesting to see how an avid car enthuisast would do on two wheels. I'll report back after the weekend and give an update on how the course went and anything important I may learn. Also, I have been lucky enough to be the guinea pig for some new gear, so keep an eye out for a few other posts about my thoughts on those products once I have a chance to test them
