On Monday, Greg sent me to Euro Sport Accessories to cover an intake and exhaust install on a VW CC. Despite slight modification to get the exhaust to fit, we saw close to 10hp gains from the combo, not to mention the better look of the stainless tips and intake.
Tuesday brought a full day of working on my Mk2’s brakes that had failed on the way to the install. After finally getting everything off, it seems the only parts damaged were the brake lines and dust cover. I got everything back together but still think there might be something wrong. I’m definitely on the look out for a new daily driver. Any thoughts?
Finally, this past weekend I attended the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic Rider Course. As I posted in a previous blog, I had little experience, especially compared to the guys at the office, but I was one of the most experienced on the course.
Overall, I felt that the course was extremely helpful and informative, and would definitely recommend it to any new rider. That being said, I will be posting a couple more blogs about some of the products I tested while at the course, so keep a look out for that.
Next week will be my last as eurotuner’s intern so I hope to finish a couple more videos and my sections of the October issue before I leave.
