In a recent News story at www.eurotuner.com, we introduced the new 2011 Castrol Honda World Superbike team.
With Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus riding the Honda CBR1000RR run by Dutch-based Ten Kate Racing, the team has been sponsored by Castrol: an association with Honda’s motorcycle racing that goes all the way back to the Japanese manufacturer’s first foray into the sport at the Isle of Man TT in 1959.
The two companies celebrated 50 years of racing together in 2009 and will be taking to the track again in 2011 to revive the famous team colors.
The Castrol Honda team has also produced a pretty cool launch video that looks back to former glory and ahead to the 2011 season. It’s been uploaded to YouTube here:
The 2011 World Superbike championship opens at Phillip Island in Australia on 27 February.
