German BMW tuning specialist Kelleners Sport will unveil the first completely tuned BMW 1 series M coupe to the public at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Frankfurt auto show will open its door from September 15-25 2011.
With a power increase of 410hp, the KS1-S uses a combination of software reprogramming (only available by sending the ECU to the company or one of its agents) and its own exhaust systems.
Sound and gas flow were the two priorities for the development of the sports exhaust system, built using high-grade stainless steel with four chromed tailpipes.
The car also uses the Kelleners Sport coilover system developed for the street and racetrack. The dampers allow separate 14-way adjustment of both rebound- and compression settings using patented two-stage valves. These permit rebound damping adjustment for comfort and compression adjustment for driving dynamics in the low-speed range, while high-speed movement is fixed.
Additionally, the KS1-S has a front lip that attaches to the underside of the stock spoiler available in either plastic or carbon fiber. Additionally, there's a three-piece grille kit for the front spoiler.
The company's distinctive 20" Hamburg or Berlin wheels complete the conversion. These are 20x9" front with 245/30 tires, while the rear axle gets 20x10" wheels and 265/30 tires.
The company also does interior work, adding white paneling, stitching and alcantara panels to their demonstration vehicle.
