Video game developers, Codemasters has announced you can be among the first to play its new title called F1 Online: The Game. All you have to do is register to join a closed beta program, giving you both a sneak preview and the ability to help them finalize the programming.
To register, simply log on to www.F1OnlineTheGame.com and discover this new, free-to-play racing and management game currently in the final production stages at Codemasters Studios.
The game has been created under exclusive agreement with Formula One World Championship Limited and will feature all the cars, stars and circuits from the racing series.
By registering for the beta version, players will have the opportunity to give feedback and shape the game's features prior to its launch in Spring 2012. Anybody accepted for the closed beta will also have the opportunity to earn in-game rewards when the game goes live.
Codemasters has also launched its first gameplay video, which is showingon the same website or here at www.eurotuner.com. It showcases in-game footage, and although its still a work-in-progress, the trailer features wheel-to-wheel multiplayer racing around the Monaco street circuit and reveals how fans can create and develop their very own team.
F1 Online: The Game will give players the chance to be the driver and team manager in a game that combines racing action with a rewarding management element that allows players to create and manage their own team.
You can compete in online multiplayer races across a range of game modes, including Grand Prix events and a range of quick-fire challenges and Time Trials. Gamers will be able to share their progress via a range of leaderboard and social network features.
Players will also have the opportunity to create their own racing team; choosing their name, design a livery and lead the development of a personal franchise. As racer and team boss, you will manage the commercial, research, production and race crew functions required for success on track.
Iconic tracks including Silverstone and Spa will be authentically brought to life using track data and assets taken from the F1 2011 video game for consoles and PC Games.
