As one of the largest aftermarket vehicle trade shows in the world, many people dream of being able to have a car displayed at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas. And now synthetic lubricant manufacturer Royal Purple is making that possible with its Show It Off contest.
Contest entrants have the opportunity to display their car at the 2012 SEMA Show as a featured vehicle in the Royal Purple booth.
Beginning July 2 and running throughout July, the contest will be hosted on the company's Facebook page and entries will be accepted for a two-week period from July 2-16. Ten finalists will then be chosen by an online vote from July 17-24 andthen judges will select the two cars to appear in the booth.
Once the ten finalists are selected, each will have the opportunity to submit a detailed spec list and additional photos of their vehicle for the five judges to review. The two winners will be announced August 3 on Facebook.
A similar contest ran last year and the company had such a great response it decided to repeat the process. "We had so many great entries and such a positive experience with the winners last year that we're bringing our most popular contest back for another year," said Marlena Solomon from Royal Purple. "We run our contest early to allow our winners to secure sponsors for their trip to cover costs like travel, accommodations and vehicle transportation," she added.
In addition to showing their vehicles at the 2012 SEMA Show, Royal Purple will pay for the feature car registration and fees, and will provide two badges for the show, Royal Purple swag, and host a dinner where the winners are guests of honor.
