2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model Irina Shayk and fellow model Chrissy Teigen will play guest star roles in the upcoming Need For Speed video game release.
In an exclusive marketing partnership between Electronic Arts and Sports Illustrated, the worlds of fashion, video games and cars come together in the first partnership of its kind.
The deal will see 2011 cover model Irina Shayk and popular model Chrissy Teigen play roles in the new release of Need for Speed The Run. The action-packed racing game takes players on a cross-country race from San Francisco to New York. In the game, Irina and Chrissy transform from the physical to the digital world, playing lifelong friends competing in the cross-country race.
Irina and Chrissy are rival racers competing against the game's lead character Jack, the protagonist and "man on the run" in Need for Speed The Run.
As part of the partnership, Sports Illustrated and Electronic Arts are producing "The Making of Need for Speed The Run" DVD, which will be included in a Sports Illustrated subscription offer whereby new subscribers will receive a six month All Access subscription to SI, Need for Speed The Run video game and the DVD (for $49.95).
Developed by Black Box, part of the Electronic Arts empire, Need for Speed The Run will be available on November 15, 2011 in North America and November 17, 2011 in Europe for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, PC, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.
