A Sequel Worth Waiting For.
Codemasters announced today that GRID, the BAFTA-award winning video game, is currently under heavy development on GRID 2 (due out in 2013) for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC systems.
Executive Producer, Clive Moody, is on a mission to make the sequel the most exciting and immersive automotive racing game on the market. Since technology moves at a lightning bolt’s pace the game boasts the latest developments in damage standards, AI, visuals and the introduction of Flashback time rewind feature. Further enhancing Moody’s concept of the race as the star character, not just the cars that are in it.
A massive career mode has players globe trekking from the romantic streets of Paris to the blistering sand dunes of Abu Dhabi, speeding by the crashing waves of California’s coast and even select licensed racetracks. Nearly every box is checked on an enthusiast’s list of “places to drive before you die.”
Traveling further down the rabbit hole, GRID 2 packs more customization features and integration with RaceNet, ensuring you miss every date night you planned to “make-up” to your significant other.
Of course once your car is customized to your standards, the next logical thing is to thrash it against your friends, through multi-player mode or online.
