We were treated to something special at the office today. Being so close to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) can be beneficial, besides rarely missing a flight being its next-door neighbor. Space shuttle Endeavour took a victory lap right over our heads.
With the closure of the space program, Los Angeles received the last of the NASA space shuttles this afternoon. Endeavour started its parade lap around the city of Los Angeles around noon today. Seeing as this was a momentous occasion we decided to see it for ourselves. What a sight it was. All the dreams of space exploration as kid was now flying above our heads.
Endeavour touched down an hour later after passing by famous Los Angeles landmarks from Hollywood to Disneyland. It was remarkable to be apart of the space shuttle’s legacy. Its presence has, and will, inspire future generations to discover the furthest reaches of the universe.
